The Northwest Frontier Addiction Technology Transfer Center (NFATTC) is part of a nationwide, multi-disciplinary network funded by the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The ATTC network vision is to unify science, education and services to transform the lives of individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drug addiction. We do that by helping to disseminate cutting-edge knowledge and skills that develop a powerful workforce . . . a workforce that has the potential to transform individual lives.
The NFATTC is both a resource and catalyst, working with the addiction education, treatment and policy-making communities to improve treatment. NFATTC serves 4 Northwest states (AK, ID, OR, & WA) plus Hawaii and the U.S.-affiliated Pacific Island Jurisdictions by:
- Increasing the knowledge and skills of addiction treatment practitioners by disseminating state-of-the-art research and by providing evidence-based workforce education.
- Heightening the awareness, knowledge, and skills of all professionals who can intervene in the lives of people with substance use disorders.
Fostering alliances among practitioners, researchers, policy makers, funders, and consumers to support and implement best treatment practices.
